The perfect metaphor for the mindless affluence and pompous stupidity of much of new tech SF.  Trolled again. Looks like the museum staff was equally clueless.

For some reason this was not reported on in the SF Chronicle, just like their coverage of police brutality, racism and homophobia has been very wan and third page-ish.  Looks like Hearst Corp is in the Chamber of Commerce's back pocket. Again. Well, the proponents of yellow journalism never really lost the habit, what with callow, easy to buy conformist journalists like CW Nevius, Mattier and Ross, Mick La Salle, Spud Hilton - really, is this the best the City can do? Where's Warren Hinckle when you need him?
