A quick update. Talked to Krishna after his return from near Dunche in Rasuwa, just about four to five hours hike from the Langtang Valley. Well before the quake. The need is immense for basic supplies, and the roads, before not very good, are now a jumble of broken asphalt and huge bolders. Their next trip, probably tomorrow, is to help Teppan people around Dhading - a few hours towards Kathmandu, a very poor rural area west and outside of Kathmandu Valley. He, and I, appreciate the donors help as once again he will be ferrying basics - shelter, cooking and eating utensils, blankets. Food is becoming a problem in Rasuwa and other remote areas as foodstocks were destroyed or lost in the quake and aside from a few intrepid Nepalis like Krishna, few to no airdrops have happened, and relief food is rotting in the airport in Kathmandu due to government inefficiency.
